About

I am a board certified family physician who works part time in a conventional medical urgent care and part time in my own health counseling and hypnotherapy practice.

I started my health counseling practice in 2007 after graduating from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York.

My health counseling mission is to help clients to live healthy, harmonious, joyful lives. Each health counseling program is unique as it is driven by the needs of the individual client and takes into account their unique body type, family history, personal history, and current environment. But always there is a strong focus on encouraging the right balance of nutritious (and delicious) foods, developing a regular exercise practice that they enjoy, and teaching self care/ stress management skills.

Through health counseling I strive to empower clients to realize their health goals which range from overcoming current physical problems to strengthening the body to prevent future disharmony. In this practice I recognize the human body is always striving for wellness and balance and it is my mission to help my clients to maximize the healing power that already exists within them. The ultimate purpose is to help clients to experience love, peace, and fulfillment in their lives and to discover that the source of lasting fulfillment lies within themselves.

In 2010 I became a certified hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists.  Since then I have also been offering the trans-formative healing of hypnotherapy in my private practice.

“One must drop all presuppositions and dogmas and rules–for these only lead to stalemate and disaster; one must cease to regard all patients as replicas, and honor each one with individual attention to how he is doing, to his individual reactions and propensities; and, in this way, with the patient as one’s equal, one’s co-explorer, not one’s puppet, one may find therapeutic ways which are better than other ways, tactics which can be modified as the occasion requires.”
